Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Money Game Ventures, LLC (“Money Game Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with GuestBook(the “Service”), the AI guestbook that lets a host turn a manual, handbook, or FAQ into a private AI that their guests, residents, members, or visitors can ask questions of. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
Who this policy covers
The Service involves two kinds of people, and we treat their data differently:
- Account Holders (“Hosts”) — people who create an account, set up spaces, upload content, and publish a guest chat.
- Guests— people who use a Host’s published chat to ask questions. Guests do not need an account.
For information that Guests submit through a Host’s space, the Host generally determines how that information is used, and we process it on the Host’s behalf to operate the Service (see Hosts as data controllers below).
Information we collect
Information Hosts provide
- Account information — your name, email address, and authentication credentials, handled through our authentication provider. We do not store your password in plain text.
- Content you upload— the documents (manuals, handbooks, FAQs, etc.) you add to a space, the text extracted from them, your space settings, branding (logo, colors), and any profile photo you upload. You decide what to upload; please don’t upload information you don’t have the right to share.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive subscription status and limited billing details; we do not store full payment card numbers.
Information from Guests
- Questions and conversations — the messages a Guest sends to a chat and the answers the Service returns.
- A session identifier— a random identifier used to group a single conversation and apply rate limits. It is not tied to a Guest’s real-world identity.
- Email address (optional) — if a Guest chooses to be notified when a Host answers a previously unanswered question, we store the email address they provide for that purpose.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and technical data — such as IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, and counts of questions answered (used for security, rate limiting, and usage-based billing).
- Cookies and local storage — we use cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service, and browser local storage to remember an in-progress guest conversation on that device. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Generate answers to Guest questions using the relevant uploaded knowledge (see AI processing below).
- Measure usage and bill for the Service.
- Send transactional and service emails — for example, email verification, password resets, team invitations, a notice to a Host that a question went unanswered, and a notice to a Guest who asked to be told when their question is answered.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
AI processing
To answer a question, the Service sends the question and the relevant portion of the Host’s uploaded knowledge to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train its models. Answers are generated by AI and may be incomplete or inaccurate; Hosts are responsible for the content they upload and for the answers their space provides to Guests.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who process data on our behalf under contract, including: Anthropic (AI answer generation), Neon (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and file storage), Stripe (payments), Upstash (background job processing), and Resend (email delivery).
- Hosts — questions and any opted-in Guest email tied to a space are visible to the Host of that space.
- Legal and safety — when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Hosts as data controllers
When a Host collects information from their Guests through the Service, the Host is responsible for providing appropriate notice to, and obtaining any required consent from, their Guests, and for handling Guest requests about that data. We act as the Host’s service provider for that information and will assist with such requests as reasonably required.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Hosts can delete spaces, documents, and account data; deleting a space removes its associated documents and questions. Some records (e.g., billing) may be retained as required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls, and we store uploaded documents in a private storage bucket. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction, and deletion — Hosts can update or delete much of their information from the dashboard. To request access to or deletion of information we hold, contact us at the address below.
- Guest requests — Guests can ask us or the relevant Host to access or delete the questions and email tied to a space.
- Email preferences — answer-notification emails are opt-in; transactional emails are required to operate the Service.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under U.S. state privacy laws or the GDPR). We will honor rights that apply to you; contact us to exercise them.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We are based in the United States and process information there. Information you provide may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
